Hi girls!!!
We wanted to start this new blog to get the word out there that women need encouragement! Not just positive words, but scripture that is uplifting, applicable to your daily lives and to help you grow in the Lord. We have a small group of ladies that would like to get together a few times a year and just have fun, share prayer requests, testimonies, and words of encouragement for each other. We believe what the Bible says when we are comforted by God we then can comfort others. (2 Cor. 1:4). How cool is that?! We need testimonies of God's faithfulness, encouraging words for women who are depressed, down, discouraged. We need words of praise for what God is doing in your lives. We need people to share, so women will know that they are not alone..others can identify. We want to go back to the older days and meet at the picket fence, but out picket fence is this blog, where we can share our anxieties, fears, joys, questions, without judgement..
I leave you with these encouraging words for today: Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
May God Bless,
Love In Christ,
Robyn
Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my "rock" verses. It comforts me to know that no matter how messed up I feel, God has everything in His Hands and all I need do is rest in His Arms. Sometimes I feel I can't do anything right. But if I focus on Christ, which is no easy task sometomes, you come to the place where you choose to be better for what you are going through or become bitter. While I was weeding my front garden I realized that there is a garden of our mind that we also need to weed. The weedy thoughts we let take root are a bit harder to weed out than the ones we catch early. I am working on some deep seated weedy thoughts about my purpose in the body of Christ. I'm very used to hearing about my failures steming from my earthly father. Entrenched even more from my first marriage and subsequent relationships. God has a plan and I know in my heart of hearts that I am being perfected unto the day of Christ. I am choosing this day to become better, not bitter for what I am facing. So very thankful for CCG and my Spiritual Family!

DeleteWe'd love to have you join us on Saturday morning, July 13. We're planning to meet at McAlister's deli on highway 135 in front of Steinmart. (Write to me or to Robyn if you need directions.) We'll start at about 10 am, eat something, visit, share Bible verses, pray ... whatever the Spirit leads! Our group is small so there's no need to be intimidated. We struggle with our "purpose" and our "weedy gardens" just like you! I'd love to meet you, so please don't be shy!
